Do you teach your students HOW to plan an experiment?

We have been experimenting with circuits and electromagnets in my class for weeks and I am finally ready for them to design their own investigation! But before I do that, I must first teach them how to plan. You may want to use this planning sheet as a format for the students or yourself when teaching them about writing investigations up in their science notebooks.
