Here is an really fun game template that can be used to teach both phonics and math concepts. I usually draw this on my laptop tablet and have it up on the wall through the LCD projector. I draw it using kidpix software, but have also done it using JournalWrite. Before we had the technology option, I used to do this on the white board with white board markers. Go the link below to print out the template and read the directions on how to use it. It is VERY easy and the children seriously beg to play "Baseball Phonics" or "Baseball Math". When you read how to play this game, you can adapt the cards you show the teams to have math facts from upper grades and even use it to go over vocab words. I would love to hear from you if you are able to use this in your classroom!
