On Monday, I wrote a blog post on Raki’s Rad Resources that gave 10 Ways to Teach Critical Thinking Skills. One way that I work on this with my students is by asking them to always be able to answer the Why Question. Always knowing they are going to be asked to justify their thinking helps to keep kids thinking. Here is a copy of the poster that hangs in my room to remind my students to think about Why.
