My first graders have been learning about the states of matter - Solids, Liquids & Gasses, so I decided to make a little booklet to help pull it all together. There’s 2 pages for each of the states of matter. On one page, we brainstormed about what the molecules do in that state of matter. Then on the next page, they drew 6 picture examples of each state of matter. I was impressed with the examples they came up with. Here are a few of my favorites:
Solid – house, car, paper, money, banana
Liquid – tears, blood, tea, soup, ocean
Gas – fire, smoke from a train, steam, seeing your breath when it’s cold
