I have been dabbling with creating some graphics for my classroom this year. I have been using these three programs to create some simple graphics on the computer:
Powerpoint (I like that you can layer and position your shapes easily)
Paint (I use this to crop my pictures for editing purposes)
Gimp ( I LOVE this free open source software FOSS program! I used it to add special effects and to create transparent backgrounds on my images so that I can layer them on any background and only see my image, not a white square behind it.)
