Riddles are a great way to teach your students how to focus on key details to infer and draw conclusions. Stop by my blog for a set of 24 riddle cards for fall. This set also includes a four-in-a-row game to reinforce autumn vocabulary. The resource is Common Core-alligned to CCCS 2.RL.2, but would be useful for K-2. Great for small groups, literacy centers... one smart commenter even mentioned using them with her speech students!
