This activity is great for either small group instruction or as an activity for your literacy centers when teaching the phonemic awareness skill of rhyme. It's pretty easy to make and your students will love moving the magnetic gems with the colorful pics to match rhymes. This activity can easily be differentiated as you can choose how many pairs the student will need to match or by placing several gems already on the cookie sheet.
You'll need the following items to create this activity: large marble gems, glass and bead glue and button magnets. And, of course, a cookie sheet. Just gather the materials and print the pdf files and you're ready to go!
