Gingerbread and Christmas/Winter just seem to go hand in hand! I love to read different versions of The Gingerbread Man to my students and I especially enjoy reading the TOTALLY different ones like The Gingerbread Pirates and The Gingerbread Girl. When I have finished reading the books to my kinders, then I have them create a likeness of their favorite gingerbread character from the books. When complete, I compile them into a class book. We also graph our class favorites. The gingerbread characters also make a really cute bulletin board, too!
