License to Write: A Cursive Freebie

Today I wanted to share a freebie with you that I use in my class as we work on our cursive skills. This pack is great for encouraging neatness and helping those speed racers who always turn in illegible work to S-L-O-W D-O-W-N.

I use it after my students have completed learning their cursive alphabet. They can apply for their license, when they feel they are ready to write cursive full-time (of course the minute we finish learning the last letter). If they "pass" my inspection, I add their picture to a cursive license and laminate to make it official. They get so excited to find it on their desk the next morning. Click HERE to get a copy.
