Sight Word study

At the beginning of the school year we work a lot on deciding where my students need to start on their reading journey. After evaluating and working with them in small groups I decide where they are on their reading journey by looking at their test scores, reading comprehension, fluency from short passages, and sight word knowledge. This little freebie covers a little of that assessment for me. This is from the Dolch Pre-Primer list.  It is short and simple so that my students are not frustrated and it also allows me to see if they recognize some beginning sight words in their reading.
