Here's a fun 'clipping' game that you can play with your class once you introduce telling, asking, commanding and exclaiming sentences. The full pack includes all the activities and ways to introduce these conventions to your students, this game is simple.
Cut out the cards (several copies for the full class) and have the students 'clip' the ending punctuation to indicate what type of sentence this is, then write the ending punctuation with dry erase markers and finally copy the sentence into their notebooks, or you could simply print it out as a worksheet and have the students cut and paste the sentences into their notebooks.
