While we are diligently focusing on comprehension instruction, sometimes we need to take a step back... and decide how we can help our kiddos move forward with their reading comprehension progress.

Vocabulary!  Vocabulary!  Vocabulary!

Our students need to be able to have a "better than good" grasp on vocabulary before they can deeply comprehend the text they are reading.

Good vocabulary knowledge = good comprehension!!
