Classroom Management Strategy: Sentence Strips

Over on Artistry of Education, I have been sharing some behavior management techniques that I use in my upper elementary classroom. I believe in using small, consistent consequences to correct behavior.
 For example, after I have taught a procedure like line walking and we have practiced as a class, if a student is not responding to my quiet signals or verbal warnings, I may have him/her write the above sentence once.  This is often enough redirection.
