The next Friday the Thirteenth is in November and I have a series of lessons on superstitions that I use on that day. October is also a good month to research and write about different superstitions from different cultures.
For this first lesson, I have students either brainstorm or research a list of superstitions. They use this list to compose a short story or poem.
The list poem above is my example of how to complete this assignment. It also lists several superstitions to get the brainstorming/research started. To download a printable copy and learn more about this lesson, please visit this post on Artistry of Education.
