Law of Attraction Related to Eating Disorders

As I was going through the Eating Disorder chapter in Glencoes 8th grade Teen Health, I noticed that the Law of Attraction applies.  I dont know why I was surprised. People with eating disabilities believe specific things about their body.  They look in the mirror and their body image isnt what other people see.  I have created a worksheet (with answers to provide for a class discussion) where the information in regard to eating disorders is organized in terms of the Law of Attraction.
One of the things Ive learned about most teens: their decisions are more emotional than logical. They are made based on their desire for acceptance, and fitting in with a specific group of peers. I dont load kids down with a lot of information because they already know about the should or shouldnt list. I focus on the students: what they want out of life, who they are (I am List), why they behave a certain way (Personality Styles), and the application of the Law of Attraction.

If the health book you use is not Glencoes, it would be interesting to see if you can organize your material according to the Law of Attraction.
Instead of handing out a blank worksheet, I am enclosing a completed one for class discussion related to a number of eating disorders (I am also including a blank form to use as well).  Dietary issues greatly affect attractiveness, self-image, self-esteem, and a variety of other personal issues that students will work through during their formative years and in later years as well.  Enjoy!!
This activity can also be used with a Personality, Self-Image, or Nutrition Unit.
