With Valentine's Day around the corner, you may be looking for a cute activity to complete in class for your students. Maybe you are looking for an adorable "gift" they can give their mom. Or maybe you aren't thinking about that just yet. Either way, you may want to check out this post I wrote at my blog about Love Jars.
Though the blog post was written about Mother's Day, it could easily be used for Valentine's Day just as well. Students create little slips with reasons they love their mother, father, grandmother, sister, brother, or themselves. (Ha! I kid.) Then they place the slips in a baby food jar that they decorate for the receiving member. It's a spin on memory jars where someone draws a slip each time they need a happy moment or memory.
