One of the best ways to teach kids about measurement is to
get out the rulers and meter sticks and put them into their little hands. Let
them measure and record everything in sight. Depending on the students’ grade
level, they may use measurement tools to find customary or metric units.
Make learning to measure object fun and realistic by
creating project based learning (PBL) tasks for your students that combine
measurement with other complimentary skills such as fractions or area and
perimeter.
I have created a little homework sheet for students to
complete as they measure items around their home. Click here to get your FREE copy!
