Reading Comprehension Bookmarks
When I tutored students, I used notecards to make reading comprehension bookmarks. I would list key characters, ideas, symbols, themes, etc. the students should be trying to find, and it helped focus their reading so much.
I adapted the notecard idea into printable reading comprehension bookmark templates for elementary, middle, and high school students. The students add notes to the bookmarks as they read. Depending on the age of the student, the bookmarks prompt students to look for different details. Younger student note basic plot information; older students identify symbols or important quotes.
