It's super tough to keep kids' interest around Halloween time. And it's even harder to teach math when all they want to talk about is ghosts and candy and pumpkins and zombies. Here's a fun way to put all of their excitement and enthusiasm for Halloween into learning math: create geometry zombies.
Halloween is also a busy time of year for teachers, so we want to maximize our lessons and save time for ourselves, right? So, let's kill several birds with one... um.. free math resource. Help your students review geometry vocabulary and all those tricky geometric attributes, keep them busy and engaged working with geometric shapes, and even make a fabulous Halloween math bulletin board all at once. (Plus, it's all Common Core-aligned!!) Have your students create Halloween Math Geometry Zombies!!
