Bringing Adventure into Math
Kids love adventure and fantasy books, they also love read aloud time. I was introduced to the Sir Cumference series by Cindy Neuschwander a few years ago, and was immediately hooked! They tell adventure stories of the knight Sir Cumference, his wife (Lady Di of Ameter) and son (Radius). The adventure always explains geometric principles and concepts. They are truly great resources for math. I wrote a free lesson for "Sir Cumference and the First Round Table". Enjoy!
